Merry Men, The Real Yoruba demons - Character Review

The title of this movie made me expect so much. I was hoping to watch everything I see on Twitter Nigeria play out in this movie, but well, I guess the 2 hours + was almost worth it.

On Wednesday, I was having a slow and bad day(my phone was acting up😕), which made it a perfect day to go out and watch the almighty and overly advertised "Merry men".

First, the calibre of actors in this movie made me very excited, well like any other girl out there, I love handsome guys, especially the ones that can speak proper English. 

Movie Review

Let me start with the characters: 

1. A.Y : Honestly, I don't find AY funny in movies, so I panicked when I saw him in his first scene. I was praying he doesn't over do it with the jokes. well, he didn't!!! yipeeee! AY's character was so real, I forgot my fears. In fact I dare to score him an 8, I learnt some dirty new words from him too. lol 
2. Ireti Doyle: For goodness sake, cant this woman be something else in a movie? always overly classy is tiring biko. Shes a good actress, but seeing her play the same character everywhere is becoming boring. If they could uses Osaz as a blogger for this movie, they could have as well used someone entirely different. Its becoming like patience uzuokwu and her wicked mother inlaw character. Ireti, biko try something new. 
3. Ramsey Noah = 10/10 No comment, the man is an actor toh bad.
4. Jim Iyke : Choi this man is too fine abeg! well, on a serious note, he did well too, he brought his character to life. Hehehe, but it was almost as if he was acting himself, not that I know him o, but Jim Iyke would make a very good player. Man Fine Biko!
5. Falz the bad guy: This guy made me laugh all through the movie, how the hell does he keep up with this his bad yorubalised English? LMAO! Falz on point. But the way he was typing when cracking into peoples system, was entirely fake, Nobody types that fast, it made it obvious that they were acting. Next time be more natural with the keyboard.
6. Damilola Adegbite: I wonder why Chris left this beautiful woman?! well, Men are full of surprises. This woman is an actress oooooo.....  she made working for the secret service in nigeria look cool. 

As for the remaining actors, including RMD, they all tried. 

as for the story line, well, I wasn't too pleased. 

But this movie was well put together, but the sad part is that I didnt have anything to talk about after watching the movie. Remember how you felt when you watched Red Sparrow or Acrimony? well, yeah, you wont feel that way after watching the merry men and there was no atom of yoruba demon in the movie, it was more like Yoruba well behaved good guys.
